Sketch Challenge Week #38

First off, I want to mention to Evelyn that if you don’t want to see your anniversary card, don’t look at this post :)

Secondly, I apologize for being late with this post. This morning was the first chance I had to work on the card for the sketch challenge because of other things going on this week. Then, once I had made my card and uploaded it to my computer, I found out that there was a very similar sketch challenge today over on Stamping 411. I wanted to participate, so I went back and added a layer to my card, and then had to take a picture and upload it to my computer. Now, I am finally ready to show you my sketch card :)

This week’s sketch on UDI is as follows:

Here’s today’s sketch on Stamping 411:
Here is my card for both sketch challenges:
Stamp set: Oval All
Paper: Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Ink: Crushed Curry Classic ink
Accessories: Scallop Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Scallop Border punch, ½” Soft Suede Polka-Dot Grosgrain ribbon, uni-ball Signo Gel pen, Stamp-a-ma-jig, SNAIL adhesive, Glue dots, Craft & Paper Scissors, paper trimmer

The Soft Suede and Always Artichoke CS are pretty dark, so you may not be able to see the Always Artichoke layer I added on top of the Soft Suede card base. But I assure you, it is there :)

*Tip: If you use a white gel pen or our Whisper White Craft ink and the ink smears, don’t stress. Once the ink is dry, you can take a clean eraser and erase the smudge. Just be careful not to get the eraser on the ink you want to keep, otherwise you will smear it. Though, if that happens, you should be able to erase it all and start over.

If you would like to participate in either or both of the sketch challenges, post a comment and link to your blog, or upload to your Splitcoast gallery using the keyword DivaSC38 (for the UDI sketch).

Have fun stampin’ and creatin’!

This is a riot! I can't believe how similar the sketches are! I promise we didn't call each other. I did the sketches over 6 weeks ago, and we just post them once a week! I think it's funny that great minds think alike! What a hoot!

I love your color choices and that you moved the focal point! Just beautiful!

Oops I was so excited to see your latest card, I didn't read the comment at the top. We will be honored to receive this card for our 41st Anniversary. It's beautiful. I like the creative license that you took with the card. Can't wait to see the real thing!
