Punch Art Class

Here are samples from another punch art class. We created a variety of flowers this time as you’ll see below.

Tag Punch Star
Small tag, large tag
Tutorial from Splitcoaststampers

Pinwheel Flower
¾” circle, 1 ¼” Square, large tag
Tutorial by Laurie Lenertz, inspired by Paula Goff. I don’t have a link to the tutorial, but I will e-mail it to anyone that requests it.

Dahlia Fold Flower
1/8” circle, 1 ¼” circle, 1 3/8” circle
Tutorial from Splitcoaststampers

Flower
¾” circle, Small oval, Bird w/Leaves and Flower die (leaves), hand cut stem
For the stem, you could use the Siwrly Sizzlits decorative strip die. It’s pretty, and a lot easier than hand cutting
CASEd from dandI93

Tulip
Large oval for petals. Hand cut stem and leaves.
CASEd from LeeAnn Greff (also known as flowerbugnd1 on SCS). Be sure to check out the punch art section on her blog.

Cone Flower
¾” circle, scallop circle, small oval. Hand cut stem.
CASEd from Joanne at Mainly Flowers

I won’t be readily available to answer comments or e-mails this week, but please go ahead and send them and I will respond as soon as I can. Thank you, and have fun stampin’ and creatin’!

PMS Sketch Challenge

My friend Barb recently started her first blog, titled “Got PMS? - Grab Papers, Markers, and Sketches and No One Gets Hurt!” She began her blog debut with a sketch challenge complete with a prize! The winner will be randomly picked, so we don’t need to stress about whether our card is the best one or not :) Enter the PMSSC01 sketch challenge as often as you like by posting a direct link to your card to the comment section of this post. Your valid submission must be posted no later than noon EST on Saturday, September 19, 2009.

The sketch was created by a mutual friend, Micki Harper. You’re sure to be inspired when you view Micki’s blog.

Here is my submission for PMSSC01:

Stamp set: Sincere Salutations
Paper: Always Artichoke, Rich Razzleberry CS, Cottage Wall DSP
Ink: Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink
Accessories: Big Shot machine, Little Leaves Sizzlits die, 2-way glue pen, SNAIL adhesive, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, paper trimmer

If this picture is too dark, please let me know. My computer monitor is old and displays pictures darker than they really are. So I’m not sure what the lighting is like on your monitor. I’ll be glad to adjust it if it’s not clearly visible on your end. Thanks!

A fairly simple card as you can see :) I’m not going to post the details since it doesn’t require an explanation, but if you have any questions, please post them in the comment section of this post.

I hope you’ll join Barb’s sketch challenge. Remember, submissions are due at noon EST on Saturday, September 19.

Have fun stampin’ and creatin’!

I hope you enjoyed viewing these class samples. I have one more punch art class to post, which I will try to post soon. Have fun stampin’ and creatin’!
