Blog candy offered on Debbie's blog

You'll definitely want to click on the following link to check out the amazing blog candy offered on Debbie's blog:

http://passionforcrafts.blogspot.com/2009/04/blogoversary-candy.html

For those of you who aren't familiar with blog candy, that's basically prizes. Many bloggers offer blog candy when they've had a certain amount of visitors or are celebrating their blog anniversary, like Debbie. On most paper crafting blogs I've visited, the blog candy offered is usually paper crafting supplies. To a paper crafter, that's definitely candy! ;)

Debbie is offering the blog candy until Thursday, April 30 at midnight GMT. She lives in the United Kingdom but is offering the blog candy to everyone worldwide.

So check out Debbie's blog candy and browse her amazing cards while you're there. Good luck on winning!

Sketch Challenge Week #27

It’s time for another sketch challenge and I have a card ready for you to see :) View the sketch for this challenge at UDI.

Since I made a bright card last time, I thought I’d make something pretty and feminine for this sketch.

Stamp set: Petal Pizzazz, Define Your Life
Paper: Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Whisper White card stock, Walk in the Park DSP
Ink: Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Regal Rose Classic ink
Accessories: 1” circle punch, scallop edge punch, clear buttons, Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon, glue dots, SNAIL adhesive, paper cutter, scissors, Stamp-a-ma-jig

Here is a close up view of the “Define Your Life” image I adhered beneath the clear button. I know the ribbon hides some of the words but I thought it looked too plain without the ribbon. I’ll make sure to stamp a sentiment inside of the card :)

If you would like to participate in the sketch challenge, post a comment and link to your blog, or upload to your Splitcoast gallery using the keyword DivaSC27. Go to UDI for more information about the challenge and to view the other Divas’ work.

Sketch Challenge Week #26

I am finally back with a UDI sketch challenge. Yeah! Life got really busy so I wasn’t able to participate in the sketch challenges these last couple of months, but I’m hoping I can participate on a regular basis from now on.

Go to the UDI blog to view this week's sketch challenge.

Since I needed to make a birthday card for a nephew, I decided to use this sketch for the card. I used colors from the Bold Brights family as well as the nice cool color of Baja Breeze. You probably can’t tell in the picture, but the gift image stamped in Real Red is mounted on a stampin’ dimensional and it is slightly raised up from the card.

Stamp set: Party Hearty
Card stock: Yoyo Yellow, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Baja Breeze, Real Red Classic ink
Accessories: ¾” circle punch, Baja Breeze double stitched grosgrain ribbon, Stampin’ dimensional, SNAIL adhesive, paper cutter, scissors, Stamp-a-ma-jig

If you would like to participate in the sketch challenge, post a comment and link to your blog, or upload to your Splitcoast gallery using the keyword DivaSC26. Go to UDI for more information about the challenge and to view the other Divas’ work.
