I’m sorry I am late with Saturday’s sketch. I was sick for the past week and wasn’t up to making a card for the sketch. Until now, that is! :) Click here to see the sketch from Saturday and to view the other Divas’ work.
I created this card for someone who recently moved from Cambodia to the U.S. I wanted to welcome her to this country but with an Eastern style, so I tried to keep that in mind when I made this card.
Stamp set: Eastern Blooms, Warm Words
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black card stock
Ink: Real Red Classic ink, Black StazOn, Real Red, Summer Sun, Basic Black Stampin’ write marker
Accessories: Clear Circle die, Backgrounds 1 Texturz plate, Big Shot, non-SU! rhinestones, Crystal Effects, Stamp-a-ma-jig, SNAIL adhesive, paper trimmer
I used the Small Dots Texturz plate on the Real Red CS layer but it doesn’t show up in the picture. In fact, the texture is blurry in the picture and caused my watermark and the “welcome” greeting to blur as well. Something to do with the light, I guess. I couldn’t get a better picture so I apologize for the blurriness.
If you would like to participate in the sketch challenge, post a comment and link to your blog, or upload to your Splitcoast gallery using the keyword DivaSC35. Go to UDI for more information about the challenge and to view the other Divas’ work.
Have fun stampin’ and creatin’!

I love what you did with this. The colors are great. I'm sure it will be appreciated a lot by the receiver. :)
Love your card! Eastern blooms slid in place of the Bodacious Bouquet for me...(big shoes to fill!) Great sketch, too.
pretty card michelle. love the circular movement of the flowers.
