Scarecrow Stew

This is a project we made in our stamp class last month. To give as a gift, simply add cellophane wrap a tie with raffia. Or, instead of using the mug, put everything in a cellophane bag and add a stamped topper to the bag.

Designed by Michelle Hoffman
Stamp sets: Happy Blessings
Paper: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White card stock
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Old Olive, Not Quite Navy classic ink, Black StazOn
Accessories: Small cello bag, circle punches: 1/16”, 1 ¼” , 1 3/8”, scallop circle punch, blender pen, SNAIL adhesive, dimensionals, scissors, paper cutter, raffia, pouch of apple cider, ½ cinnamon stick, candy corn, shredded and corrugated paper, mug, printed poem.

The scarecrow is stamped to just below the buttons on the bib of his overalls. Below the scarecrow is the scarecrow stew poem.

It reads:

Scarecrow Stew

Scarecrows watch over
as fall fills the air.
They love the smells
that are everywhere...

So they put them together
into this special stew.
Just add water and stir with
the stick they added too.

Now when chilly winds come
Sip your scarecrow stew,
and savor the taste of fall
as it warms you through!

I found the poem on CraftSayings.com by Shirley Thomas. Click here to bring you directly to the page with the Scarecrow Stew poem.

Stamped on the tag is” happy thanksgiving, happy fall, happy blessings to one and all.” It is the sentiment in the stamp set “Happy Blessings” found on page 8 of the Holiday Mini catalog.

I think I’m going to warm up some apple cider now :) Have fun stampin’ and creatin’!
