RAK cards from friends

When I was ill in January, several friends from UDI sent me cards. I meant to share the cards with you much sooner but I didn’t have the chance to edit and post all the cards. So here they are finally:

I really appreciated receiving these cards while I was sick. I told only one friend on UDI that I was sick and then suddenly, my mailbox was flooded with cards. It sure is wonderful to have friends like that!

Thank you to everyone who sent me a card. If you sent me one and don’t see it here, please let me know. I save pictures of cards to the corresponding stamp set folder, so I might have missed a card.

I should mention that some of these cards might be CASEd and some may have been made by someone other than the sender. Since I don’t know, I can’t give credit to those individuals but I can say “thank you for your inspiration” :)

Have fun stampin’ and creatin’!

Cup Exchange Package

In one of the online group of stampers I belong to, we had a cup exchange program from April to May. We were assigned a partner who we had to buy a cup for. This cup could be anything, as long as it was something our partner would like. We were to fill the mug with candies and other goodies, and make a card to send along with the cup. I was very happy when I found out that my partner was Micki Harper, whom I know and have met in person a couple of times. Micki is so artistic and an inspiration to me. She has excellent taste and I knew I would adore whatever she sent me. I was right! :) Look at all of the great things she sent me:

Isn’t this a sweet package to receive? The mug is adorable and I love to use it. The only problem with it is that I always want to eat something sweet when I look at the cupcakes on the mug! And anyone who knows me knows that I don’t need a reminder to eat something sweet, especially chocolate! LOL

The mug came in a really cute gift box:

I LOVE this cowgirl card! I hinted that she could send it to me and although I wasn’t completely serious, I am so happy she took my hint :) I don’t think I could ever bear to give this card to anyone. It’s one card that I’m going to keep for myself. Sorry!

This next card is really cute and cheery. I suppose I’ll share this card with someone, after I look at it for awhile longer :)

This is an adorable die cut purse that has strawberry Creme Savers inside. Yum! I like how she stamped strawberries on the outside of the purse to match the candies inside.

Now this is a clever idea: she altered a tuna can (correct me if I’m wrong, Micki) and put delicious Bliss chocolates inside. Yes, I opened the lid so I could get the chocolates out and then carefully put the lid back on. The stamped label is a heart shaped box of chocolates with the word “chocolate”. Sorry it’s upside down, but I wanted you to see the love charm.

Micki also sent a ton of die cuts and digi images for me to color but I didn’t photograph those. I’ll share pictures once I get a chance to create something with them.

It was a real treat to receive this package. The cup exchange program was fun and easy to do, and I really enjoyed having Micki for a partner. Check out her blog here to see all of her fabulous projects.

Thanks, Micki! You made me feel pampered and special. That’s a nice feeling :)

I want to share with you a RAK card (Random Act of Kindness) I received from my friend Debi N. You may remember this post in which I featured a great project by Debi.

Here’s the card she sent to me:

Isn’t it pretty? Thanks so much, Debi!
